Yes, Stay Golden is free to join for all individuals ages 21 and older.
The Meritage Collection is made of four acclaimed properties in four iconic destinations:
- The Meritage Resort and Spa in Napa Valley, California, USA
- Paséa Hotel & Spa in Huntington Beach, California, USA
- Ko'a Kea Resort on Poipu Beach in Kaua`i, Hawaii, USA
- Hotel Viata in Hill Country near Austin, Texas, USA
Anyone 21+ can enroll at staygoldenrewards.com or any participating hotel website. Enrollment is also available at the front desk or by contacting: staygolden@meritagecollection.com.
Current employees and owners of The Meritage Collection hotels and resorts are not eligible to enroll or enjoy program benefits while employed/having an ownership stake.
No membership card is required. Enrollment is easy—simply visit staygoldenrewards.com and signup with your email address. Once enrolled, you'll receive an email to access your member portal where you can view and manage your rewards for your upcoming stay.
No. Stay Golden Rewards is for individual use only.
Contact member support at staygolden@meritagecollection.com. Provide your full name, email, phone number, loyalty number and any necessary documentation for updates.
To cancel, email staygolden@meritagecollection.com. Please note that all rewards and status will be forfeited immediately upon cancellation.
Be sure you are logged in when making your reservation online to associate your stay with your loyalty account. Your booking must be made directly at the hotel’s website. Rewards will be available to choose on your Stay Golden loyalty account after completing your reservation. Some rates or special promotions may be excluded from the program.
A night where you:
- Reservation is made with the email address in your member account
- Provide your membership info at check-in
- Pay a qualifying rate
- Book through a hotel direct channel
- Stay in the reserved guest room
Direct bookings through hotel websites or by phone qualify. Reservations via third-party sites (e.g., Expedia, Priceline, etc.), group rates, or comped stays do not qualify.
Yes, you can earn elite night credits for up to three rooms per night—so long as one is occupied by you. However, rewards (e.g., drinks, spa) only apply to the room you’re staying in.
Yes! If your reservation was made directly through the hotel, but you aren’t a member yet, just join before check-in. You can choose and access your welcome rewards and special offers through the member portal.
Each qualifying stay allows you to choose one of each available reward. You’ll receive one Signature Drink and one Spa Enhancement per stay, per reservation.
There are no points to track! Stay Golden Rewards is about instant, meaningful perks—not confusing tiers or complex balances. Rewards are tied to each qualifying stay, not accumulated over time.
If your reservation is canceled, your selected rewards will also be canceled. If your stay dates change, you may receive a new email to reselect your rewards.
Rewards must be used during your stay and expire upon checkout. We recommend redeeming them as soon as you arrive!
You’ll receive an email the night before your stay with instructions. You can redeem rewards directly from your phone via the member portal. Show the digital voucher at check-in or to your server/spa team and tap “Redeem” live—screenshots or copies will not be accepted.
Yes. Log into your portal at staygoldenrewards.com before your stay to update selections.
Our front desk team will do their best to offer an alternative reward if your selected one is not available.
Yes. Hotel-based rewards (like drinks, spa enhancements, and special offers) expire upon checkout. Reward terms & conditions are clearly outline for each reward in your member portal. Merchant rewards may have different expiration dates—these will be included in your email.
With the Stay Golden Rewards membership program, you earn toward membership status with each qualified night stayed at a participating Meritage Collection property.
Stay four or more qualifying nights in a calendar year to unlock 24 KARAT status.
In addition to all 18 KARAT perks, 24 KARAT members enjoy:
- Priority 2 PM late check-out (based on availability)
- Complimentary room upgrades (based on availability at check-in)
- Exclusive first-access to events and private experiences
Once earned, 24 KARAT status lasts for the rest of the year and all of the following year. To keep enjoying 24 KARAT perks, just stay 4 or more nights each calendar year.

Certain rewards, such as Spa Enhancements, can be redeemed on behalf of another member in your party. However, most rewards are non-transferable.
You will not be eligible for rewards on that reservation, but you’ll receive Welcome Offers and special offers when joining.
